Commercial Painting — Toronto & GTA

Commercial Painting
Contractor

FAIME’s own painting crews work for general contractors, property managers and building owners on schools, condos, rental buildings, warehouses and commercial buildings that stay open while we work. Every job gets a written scope, a schedule built around the building, and the WSIB and insurance paperwork before we start.

Occupied Buildings
Phased so tenants, staff and customers keep working.
Painting Subcontractor to GCs
Suites, corridors, stairwells, amenity rooms and doors on new builds.
Exterior Repaints
Repairs and sealants first, then two full coats.
Intumescent Fireproofing
Thin-film coatings on exposed structural steel, measured and recorded.

Built Around
Your Building

01

Walk-Through and Written Scope

We walk the building, note the substrates and the hours you need, and put it all in a written scope with a schedule. No phone-quote guessing.

02

Paperwork Before Mobilization

WSIB clearance (Class G5), a certificate of insurance for our $2M CGL with Additional Insured available, and the starting package, all before we arrive.

03

Phasing for Occupied Sites

Work is sectioned so entrances, routes and loading stay usable. On our Vaughan commercial repaint, the tenant stayed open the whole time.

04

Prep Before Paint

Cracks, failed caulking and damaged substrate are repaired first. Paint over an open joint looks good for a season, then fails along the same line.

05

The Specified Product, Applied to Its Data Sheet

We buy and apply Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and Dulux products to the spec on the job, at the coats and film build the product calls for.

06

Closeout and Warranty

Walkthrough and deficiency list, then a closeout package and a 2-year workmanship warranty certificate at handover.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Yes. Occupied buildings are the normal case for our commercial work, not the exception. We section the work, keep entrances and routes usable, and schedule noisy or odorous stages around your hours. On our Vaughan commercial repaint the tenant stayed open for the whole 7 to 10 working days.
Yes. Most of our multi-unit and school projects were done as the painting subcontractor: Oakley Ridge in Guelph, Queensland Condos in Stratford, two Kitchener housing builds and two schools. We bring our own crews, WSIB clearance and a certificate of insurance, and work to your schedule and spec.
From a single commercial unit up to multi-storey residential and institutional buildings, with a trade scope ceiling of $2,000,000 per project. Crews scale from 1 to 10 on site depending on the scope.
Whatever the specification calls for. We buy and apply Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and Dulux products, applied to the manufacturer's data sheet. We are not an approved applicator for any brand, and we do not claim to be.
Yes, thin-film intumescent on exposed interior structural steel: beams, columns and decks. Coats are measured and the dry film thickness recorded and handed over. The fire rating itself comes from the project specification. We do not do cementitious spray fireproofing.
Before we start: WSIB clearance, a certificate of insurance and a starting package. At handover: a closeout package and a 2-year workmanship warranty certificate. Manufacturer material warranties are separate.

Send Us the Spec.

Send the drawings, the finish schedule or just photos of the building, and we’ll come back with a written scope, a schedule that fits your hours and a firm price before anything starts.
