Built To Look Like It Was
Always Meant To Be There
Project Overview
Exterior entrance renovation for a GTA residential property. The scope included column base moulding installation, exterior baseboard trim, and full semi-gloss exterior paint colour-matching across all entrance surfaces. The objective was simple but demanding: deliver an entrance that reads as freshly built, with no visible transition between new work and existing structure.
Moulding Installation
Precision-fitted base moulding was installed at the base of each entrance column, integrating seamlessly with the existing large-format slate tile at grade. Trim profiles were cut, mitered, and set to exact tolerances — no caulk-filled gaps, no visible seams. Each corner was returned cleanly so the moulding wraps the column as a continuous, intentional detail rather than an applied afterthought.
Paint Matching & Application
Exterior semi-gloss paint was custom colour-matched to the existing facade. The entire entrance — columns, walls above the tile line, and all trim elements — was painted in a coordinated finish. The goal was a seamless, freshly built appearance where no patchwork is visible. Surfaces were cleaned, primed, and caulked at every junction before the finish coats went on, so the colour sits even and the sheen reads consistent across the whole entrance.
Scope Completion
The project was delivered in full, on schedule, to scope. Not a single line item was left open at close-out. The client's satisfaction speaks to the standard FAIME holds on every job, regardless of scale — the same crews, the same attention to detail, the same walkthrough before we call it done.
